Andrés is responsible for Intellectual Property issues in Repsol Group, a global multi-energy company present throughout the energy value chain that employs 24,000 people worldwide and distributes its products in over 90 countries.

With more than 16 years of experience in the energy industry, after working as project engineer and production engineer in Cartagena refinery, Andrés started to work as an IP engineer in 2013. Nowadays, as IP Manager, he is responsible of IP strategies managing a portfolio of more than 2,500 patents, industrial designs, trademarks, domain names and trade secrets.

Andrés studied Industrial Engineering at the University of La Rioja and the University of Edinburgh. He has a post-graduated master in Refining, Gas and Marketing from the Instituto Superior de la Energía and a master in Intellectual Property, Competition and New Technologies from Rey Juan Carlos University. He is a member of the Licensing Executives Society Spain & Portugal from 2014.
