Greg Quillard

Director of Music Publishing & Labels Operations
YouTube

I'm a Computer Science engineer, currently working as Director of Music Publishing and Labels Operations, YouTube.

In 2002, I obtained a double Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Supélec Engineering School in Paris and Georgia Tech University in Atlanta, Georgia.
I started my career as a software architect in a mid-size consulting company (Solucom). In 2005, I joined the French tech startup Mappy as Principal Sales Engineer, and was later hired by Google in 2008 as Sales Engineer, in charge of YouTube and Google partnerships, where I negotiated and launched hundreds of agreements with European record labels who wanted to expand their presence and revenue on YouTube.
In 2012, I took over technical relationships between YouTube and publishing licensors, and led the technical redefinition of publishing agreements in the context of direct licensing. I now lead a global team supporting collection societies & music publishers and implementing licenses globally.
