Nigel Swycher is the founder and CEO of Cipher head-quartered in London. Cipher was acquired by LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions in March 2023. Prior to Cipher, Nigel had a long career in the law and led the intellectual property practice at leading London and firm Slaughter and May and subsequently Olswang (now CMS). Nigel has for many years been recognised by the IAM 300, as a leader in the field of IP strategy and is co-author (with Jeremiah Chan, Meta) of Calculating the Return of Investment of Patent Portfolios (2021).
