Thomas is a Co-Founder and Partner at TALIENS and heads the patent litigation practice in Munich/Germany.

Thomas was admitted to the German bar in 2003. He represents clients in the fields of telecommunications, electronics, mechanics, medical devices, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals in patent infringement proceedings at the Unified Patent Court as well as at all relevant patent infringement courts in Germany (first instance courts as well as courts of appeal).

He also represents clients in UPC revocation actions, opposition, and nullity proceedings at the European Patent Office / the German Patent and Trademark Office and in nullity proceedings at the German Federal Patent Court and the German Federal Court of Justice.

Thomas has extensive experience in patent infringement cases involving standard-essential patents / a FRAND license defense. Thomas is frequently recommended in various legal rankings and publications such as JUVE Patent / JUVE Handbook, Legal 500 and IAM Patents 1000 and IAM Strategy 300.
