Mr. Saito assumed his current position in October 2023 after working for a major home electric appliance manufacturer (1985-2015) including assignment in the United States and sporting goods manufacturer (2015-2023) as a general manager of intellectual property dept. After gaining experience as a researcher for molecular science of organic electrochemical polymer, moved to the intellectual property department in 1991, where studied both domestic and international intellectual property-related practices such as internal enlightenment, mining inventions, rights acquisition, litigation, contracts, and assignments. Recognized as a patent agent to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in patent cases (2003-2013). Focusing on brand assets as corporate assets, he is involved in brand protection, brand strategy practice as the brand is ultimate intellectual property, awareness reform in intellectual property departments, intellectual property risk hedging, and complying with corporate governance codes. Currently working on broader intellectual property activities that are not focused on the manufacturing industry with message of "DO BRANDING, NOT BE BRANDED" (c)2022 Koji Saito.

Dedicates or dedicated as board members of Japan Intellectual Property Association (JIPA); Licensing Executives Society Japan (LESJ); International Trademark Association (INTA, 2021-2023); and Japan Trademark Association (JTA); and also, members or advisor of Intellectual Property Subcommittee of Industrial Structure Council of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; Intellectual Property Governance Study Group; and Brand Strategic Management Institute (BSMI).
