Mike Currie is a Director at the pan-African law firm, Primerio and co-founder of the Primerio South African practice. He is a specialist competition lawyer with a particular interest in regulatory disputes and the interplay between competition law and intellectual property.  Mike’s practice is pan-African and Mike represents several large local and multinational companies. As a regular speaker and author, Mike dedicates a significant amount of his time to advocacy in order to promote best practice and policy development. Mike has been recognised by several publications as a leading competition law practitioner in the region including Best Lawyers, Whose Who Legal and Legal 500. Mike successfully represented the applicant in the recent precedent setting decision before South Africa’s Competition Tribunal involving an abuse of dominance complaint relating to the use of copy rights.
