Annarita Nicoletto is the in-house legal counsel for the Swiss top-ranked, multi-scale simulation neuroscience research center “Blue Brain” at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL).  As a woman passionate of science and technology with a globally focused and curious mindset, Annarita has developed her fields of expertise advising innovative tech projects in different industries (medtech, software, telecom, online industry) in both her international in-house and private advisory role. Originally focused on business and IP/IT law, she has drawn her professional remit to data at the early stages of Web 2.0’s data-driven business models. The in-house role at Blue Brain has allowed her to expand her knowledge and attention to the intersection of neuroscience, big data, neural networks, and supercomputing. Qualified lawyer, university studies in US and UK, graduated at the University of Padova (Italy), she holds a LL.M. in IP Law from the University of Edinburgh and a LL.M. In International Business Law from the University of Zurich.
