Martin A. Bader is a Swiss Patent Attorney, a European Patent Attorney and a representative before the European Unified Patent Court (UPC). In addition to being managing director and founder of the specialized consulting firm for intellectual property management BGW IP GmbH St. Gallen, he has been Professor for Technology Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Applied Sciences Ingolstadt (THI) in Germany since March 2016. Previously, he was Head of the Competence Centre for Intellectual Property Management at the Institute for Technology Management at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and Vice President and Chief Intellectual Property Officer at Infineon Technologies, Munich. He is a mediator at the Mediation Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and has been recognized for many years as one of the world's top 300 intellectual property strategists, according to the IAM Strategy 300 index published by Intellectual Asset Management magazine. He is also a long-time author of numerous professional publications, including 'Intellectual Property Management for Start-ups' and 'Patent Management', and an internationally sought-after speaker on intellectual property management.
