Jorge Fuentes is Director of Carey's Intellectual Property and Information Technology Group. He specializes in advising companies on the design and implementation of transformative innovation strategies based on the use of intellectual property. He also provides expert advice on the processes of obtaining patents before the Chilean Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI) and several other authorities in the field around the world.

He is currently President of the Chilean chapter of Licensing Executives Society (LES) and member of the Chilean Network of Technological Managers (RedGT).

Jorge is a Mechanical Civil Engineer from Universidad de Chile. He also earned a MBA from the same university (2005), participate in an International Training Program in Technology Transfer, National Institute of Health, from University of California (USA) (2007), and is candidate on a Ph.D. on Engineering and Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Universidad Católica de Chile.
