Mr. Rosenfeld has over 30 years of patent experience representing clients ranging from Fortune 50 companies to Silicon Valley startups, with an emphasis on litigation, portfolio evaluation, complex licensing and sales transactions, and development and implementation of patent licensing campaigns. 

During his career, Mr. Rosenfeld has transacted hundreds of millions of dollars in IP assets. He has been involved in every stage of the patent process, from initial invention to patent prosecution, to exercising patent rights through licensing, sale, and litigation. After many years in a variety of legal roles, Mr. Rosenfeld transitioned to investment banking as a Director in the Tech+IP group at Houlihan Lokey, where he was head of the strategic advisory practice and analytics team.  He then founded the IP Advisory & Transaction practice at Stout before spinning out the group to Equip Advisors.

Mr. Rosenfeld holds a B.S., cum laude, in Physics from Duke University and a J.D. from George Washington University. He is also a member of the California State Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He has been named by Intellectual Asset Management Magazine to the “IAM 300”—The World’s 300 Leading Intellectual Property Strategists every year since 2011.
