John Ritter has been working in academic technology licensing for over 30 years. He has been at Princeton University for the last 27 years, where he serves as the Director, Office of Technology Licensing. Ritter has also served twice on the Board of Directors of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), including once as the Vice President of Metrics and Surveys. 

Prior to Princeton, Ritter worked as a senior licensing professional at Rutgers University and, in a prior life, held a variety of sales and marketing positions in the materials industry. He has a B.S. in engineering from Rutgers, an M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a J.D. with Honors from Rutgers School of Law. A Registered Patent Attorney, he is licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
